My iPad 2 got submerged in water

It was submerged for about 15 minutes.

I took it out as soon as I realised it. It was off. I did not tried to turn it on, and proceded to dry it as much as I could.

It was still dripping, so I left it for around 2 hours vertical on an absorbant surface.

After that, I placed it in a big Tupperware, face down on rice, and covered it with rice.

It's been in the sealed Tupperware since then (2 days ago).

How long should I leave it there? What should I do next?

Mariella Miranda, you definitely are doing the right thing. Do not try to turn it on as that may shorten out the logic board. It is time to disassemble your iPad following this guide. definitely challenging, but doable. Once you have it opened, it is imperative that you clean the logic board and all the connectors and cables ends with a soft brush and a high grade (90%+) isopropyl alcohol, (YES, you can submerge the board in isopropyl alcohol). Once you made sure that it is clean let it air dry for a short while. I always recommend to replace the battery due to the fact that they do have a high failure rate after water immersion. Replace the battery and reassemble your iPad, Evaluate for further, if any damage. If you are not up to the challenge, use your favorite search engine and find a place that offers professional repair of water damaged iPad's etc. Hope this helps, good luck.
