my iphone 4 will not charge or be detected by itunes while the phone is on.. and i have no way of turning the device off due to there being no power/lock button bracket... it has been wet and i fear the logic board is damaged... please help me.

Kyle Friant, "it has been wet and i fear the logic board is damaged." means that you will definitely have to disassemble it. Use this guide to work on it. Clean everything with a high grade isopropyl alcohol (90%+), do not forget the connectors. Use a soft brush to clean it with as well. Check for any missing, burned, or otherwise damaged components. Once cleaned, replace the battery. This will also give you the opportunity to fix your power button. If you still have trouble with charging and connections to your computer, change the dock connector as well. The guide for that is here and the parts are available here and the battery right here. without the batery the iphone when plugged in turns on and shuts off and i charged i to 90% by leaving it off? i cleaned it to and there was no rust or corrosion
