Is the battery still good?Accidently 2 cable touched and sparked
While installing the battery, 2 cables touched(don't remember which ones) and it made a small spark.
Is the battery still good?
I couldn't be successful installing the battery in my ipod Nano 1st generation because while using a safety pin tip in one of the whole it got stuck and when I pulled, I pulled out the ring around the whole and severed the connection, so, no way to know if the battery works...
:( was my first attempt at fixing... looks like I need a new logic board or maybe cheaper to get a used ipod...
I added the rest of the story so you understand why I'm not sure if the baterry is still good after the cable touched and spark, while I'm thinking about getting a new logic board, but if the battery is fried, then it's no use...
Thanks
Is this a good question?
What model is it?

so it is a Nano 1st gen? Yes, the battery is most likely still good if you just drew one arc from the battery cable. your original question mentions a iPod Touch while you say your battery is a Nano Battery. It does sound like you tore your solder pad. If it is a touch, you can may be fix it by placing a jumper. Which iPod is it? Clarify your whole story for us. Which pad did you tear off?

It's a Nano 1st Gen.... the pad I tore up is for the black cable
