Im going to replace the back of my iphone 5 to a more lets say fancy color. Does anyone know if the frame/back is a part of the antenna as on the iphone 4/4s?

Yes, the top part is for the cellular diversity and GPS receive. Lower part combines with the connector flex cables and antenna flex on the speaker to form the primary cellular antenna. You can replace the frame to any color, they are all made of the same aluminum alloy. But do not buy a transparent plastic one, it ruins RF performance

the frame and back side are in 1 piece now... its a lot of work to replace the back compared to the 4 and 4s

Hello guys,
I have replaced two times the back housing of my iPhone 5. First one by a plastic one, and the second one by a rose gold both bought on TVC-Mall.
The first one in plastic, reduced considerably the reception of Wifi and network.
The second one, in rose gold aluminum, is better, but it is not the OEM one in black!
Do you think my be I have make a mistake with the second one?
