Can I change the logic board by a A1212 one?

Hi,

The logic boardof my MacBook Pro A1261 (17 inch Late 2008 with 2,5Ghz) is down... Do you think it's possible to replace it by the A1212's logic board board (which got less power but is also less expensive)??

Options

Unfortunately, Apple changed the connector type for almost all the connectors of the A1261 machines, so it's not a straight swap. You'd need to switch out most of the major components to do so. Sorry!
