Any idea what the goo is?

Any idea what the goo is in between the glass and the digitizer? I occasionally get a ghost contact point on the touchscreen which requires me to turn the phone off and then on to get rid of. I'm told I can fix the problem if I replace the goo that attaches the screen tot he digitizer when I give it. Does anyone know what it is?

Usually the "goo" is actually Liquid optically-clear adhesive LOCA and not really anything that you can replace. Is this your original display?

Marc Ferrari, you can get it from places like this as well as many others. Just don't expect it to be cheap:-)

I've already replaced the screen twice, not good keeping them in one piece. However I've noticed with mine and a couple friends that I've fixed with my new found knowledge these phantom touchs that stick on the screen. The only thing I can think of lacking in the equiasion is the stuff in between the screen and the lcd. Any info on where to get this LOCA and how much to use?
