1.66 Won't start up, power supply tested good
How do I approach a completely dead mini? I tested the power supply on another mini and it is fine. I assume it is most likely the hard drive?
Any troubleshooting advise?

Try booting up from the system installation disk. Insert disk and restart (push disk back in and hold the "C" key down. If it starts, go to the second screen pull down menu and go to Utilities - Disk Utility and see if you can repair the hard drive. Let us know the results and we'll go from there.

Thanks Ralph-
I don't have an original start up disk but I should be able to get something close. I appreciate that.
If you have another Mac, connect them via a firewire cable and start up holding down the "T" key. If your hard drive is operational, the icon should appear on the desktop of the other machine. You can then run disk utilities on it. The "+ Ralph" was a comment from another contributor on my answer, he forgot to hit the up arrow on my icon. But thanks anyway, Richard Mayer
Sorry about that--uptic left now. Ralph
