Why is my iPhone"Searching" after minimal water damage?

I had my iPhone in a Life proof case. When I submerged it to take a picture, like I've done many times before, it leaked. The screen blinked a couple of times then went into searching mode. It will not pick up the 3g/4g signal. Everything else on the phone works. I've followed all the directions you have on your website referring to the issue, but I think something needs to be replaced. Thanks!
