Not connecting to iTunes after refurb

Hi guys I'm quite new to this site and have found lots of useful information so far I would be grateful for any help given. The phone in question was working fully until I removed the motherboard, after I put it back together it wouldn't charge or connect to iTunes so I've replaced the charging port which fixed the charging problem but only from the socket though it still doesn't charge or connect when hooked up to my computer. Does anyone have any information that could help fix this?

When you say "only from the socket" do you mean the AC power? Does that mean it charges from the AC adapter but not the USB port?

Yes only from the mains not USB. Thanks

S2i, the reason why it charges from the AC adapter but not the USB port, is because your charger supplies a higher amperage than your USB port. Use a USB port i the back of your computer if you are using a desktop and do not use a USB hub etc. try a differetn cable as well. Recheck your dock connector, I would even suggest to replace it once more. I would also suggest that you replace the battery. Check the USB charging "fuses", they are actually inductors, and the charging IC Q2 as well as the charging coil. Check it for any obvious damage. The IC is a BGA and it is available, but will require a reball. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks but that's a bit too technical for me. Does anyone on here fix these issues?

It could be an issue with your computer, but you may need to replace the logic board.
