Why my controller doesn't connect to my PS3?

I spoiled water on my controller and then the arrows were not working. So I open it and cleaned it up but now, it won't connect to my PS3.. the LEDS keeps flashing and flashing...

Could you help me ?

How did you clean it? Did you check the components while you cleaned it?

How I do ? i already tried to reset the controller and its not working with the USB cable ...

Nicolas, any time you have any electronic component being exposed to water you are running the risk of shortcircuiting any component. I suggest you totally disassemble the controller, after that soak all the components in high grade, preferably anything of 90% isopropyl alcohol. this will displace all the water that may have collected under any of the components. Air dry it after and re-evaluate. Do keep in mind, that just because the components look okay, their internal function may have failed. Not every short circuited component shows external damage. Scott Towels are great for gross contamination, but most certainly not for the microscopic one.
