After replacing logic board, does it need to be "formated"

After I replace my logic board is there anything I need to do before booting up? And is there anything I need to do after booting up or will it just start working properly?

Options

It should be fine "as is". If you don't have a system on your hard drive, you will need to boot from the system installation disk.
