iPhone 3G keeps turning off

About a month or 2 ago, i dropped my iphone 3g, into water.. but immediately after i grab it and place it into rice for the water to get out. After a day, it worked fine as it has ever been, 3 days or so later i accidently dropped it.. not to far up around knee height? and then the problem begin to occur. I turns off after 2~3 minutes of use.

I have thought it was the battery problem, so i ordered a new battery a month later and replaced it.. hoping it would work, it turned on but.. after 2~3 minute it turned off, I have no clue what the problem is. i haven't updated the iphone to the latest update either, it should be around 3~4? i tried various ways to fix it, such as the update problem where you gotta turn off the 3g celluar thing.. check the inner of the iphone, ect.

darian, you do want to start with this "i dropped my iphone 3g, into water.. but immediately after i grab it and place it into rice for the water to get out. " rice will not prevent corrosion. It is a great first aid, but does not fix your phone. Disassemble your phone following this guide. Once you have it disassembled, use this guide to clean it. Once it is cleaned, I would suggest that you change the battery one more time. Exchange it for the right battery, there are a couple batteries that will give you this type of error as well. Use the same battery number as your old one, or even better, get the one from here. When you have all this done, reassemble and re-evaluate. It does definitely sound like a power issue. Hope this helps, good luck.

Check your battery. It does sound like either a bad battery or the wrong battery...
