Broken EMI finger, will it affect mic operation?

During the process of replacing my LCD/digitizer/glass assembly one the EMI fingers on the speaker enclosure/antenna assembly (left most near the logic board) bent upward. When I bent it back down it snapped off at the bend. I went ahead and completed the assembly of my phone doing my best to slightly bend what remained of the finger so that it contacted the area across from it hoping it would make whatever contact might be necessary. I got the phone all back together and everything seems to work perfecty with the exception of my voice quality while making calls. Sometimes it sounds like I'm talking through tinfoil so bad that the person on the other end can't understand me at all - sort of a muffled/crackley combo.

This repair also was to take the phone from white to black, so the process also included changing out the charger dock/mic to a black one. I'm wondering if I got a bad one. I bought one like this...

Anyway, if anyone has ant input I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
