Tranplanting Parts from 2012 MacBook Pro to 2009

Hello,i have a macbook pro that i damaged, losing one of the buttons and it is non repairable, is it possible to transplant the good parts of my 2012 macbook pro(logic board, SSD, HDD, to my 2009 macbook(which is prestine) and how difficult would it be.

Of course the SSD and hard drive will work. As for anything else, Please give us the last three figures of the serial numbers on both machines.

My 2012 model is A1286 and the 2009 model is the and the other is the same A1286, im guessing it would work, as both are the same? I really appreciate helping me out her, i know that the SSD and HDD would fit, i was only worried about the logic board.

2010 is the boundary. You cannot swap logic board between models before and after 2010. They are very different
