OEM SATA 3 6G cable not good enough for 6G

I recently upgraded to a OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD drive. After a clean install of 10.8.3, I found that I would get beach balls all the time. Tried the same install with an Intel Series 520 SSD, same results. After hours of research I found that the OEM cable has issues running at 6G and gets crosstalk from the battery indicator cable that is in the same harness. I was able to alleviate the issue for time being using 2 sheets of Reynolds Wrap to shield the SATA cable.

I want to know if this replacement part sold on ifixit would resolve this issue so I don't have to use the redneck shielding method? Does anybody know if it's shielded well enough to handle the 6G bandwidth and not get interference from the other cable?

I now stock two each of the 13" & 15" hard drive cables for these machines. It is becoming the most common issue with them. I suspect the plethora of 90 degree turns the cables make severely weaken them. I would replace the cable with new ones only as the used ones may have the same issues. When installing, I do not bend the cables as severely as the originals. I haven't had any of my repaired machines come back for the same problem.

Thanks for the update. I will look into purchasing one soon. My redneck shielding si working for now but every once in a while I get the slow down and the dreaded beach ball. It's way better then when it wasn't shielded but I would still like to make it better. Thanks again....

Since they're for stock, I've been ordering out of China because of pricing. The last took 24 days to get in.
