ifixit caddy not working

My ifixit caddy doesnt work in my late 2011 macbook pro 15inch. I tried to install it and I figured i wired it wrong but i didnt because when I put the optical drive back in, it works fine. The SSD isent the problem because i put it in an enclosure and it works fine. Does anyone else have this problem?

See if your old hard drive will work in the caddy. This is the way you want to set it up anyway. The BUS speed of the optical drive slot is slower than the hard drive slot. The drive is a 6 Gb/s. and your hard drive slot is rated 6 Gb/s.

Im having the same problem. Late 2011 15" Macbook Pro neither my new SSD or my stock HDD will work in the caddy, which i just got in the mail on friday. Both drives work in SATA slot and in external case, superdrive works fine after i reinstalled.
