Audio Jack doesn't work. How to replace?

I have a problem with the headphone audio jack, does not always work properly, can i replace the single part, or i have to change the logic board?

Lorenzo Maggiorotti, the connector is soldered onto the logic board. Costly undertaking to replace the complete board for that, so you might consider having someone try and fix it for you. It is not an easy DIY'er job, but somebody with the right tools and th right experience might be able to handle it. Apple part number for the connector is 514-0671 and it is defined as a SPDIF-TXRX-K24, looking at the diagram, it seems to be a standard connector. So a good search may find you a replacement.

oldturkey03, any clues on how to fix it if it's not broken, but just a little loose? slight movement pulls the plug out of the jack now on mine.
