The battery won't charge

I just changed my IPhone 4 battery with the iFixit replacement kit: very easy.

The only issue is that now, the battery won't charge. The screen shows the cable is connected but no "lightning sign" to show that it's charging. The charging level remains at 5%.

I have restored the original setting, rebooted the phone but no result.

I have to put back my old battery.

Anyone was able to overcome this issue?

christianseguy, if it charges the old battery, then it is the battery that is malfunctioning, not your phone:-)
