On reassembly, my touchscreen doesnt work everywhere, only the sides

Hi

The touchscreen has a weird behaviour. This started after I replaced the home button on iP4. On starting the phone, I noticed that the screen doesnt have touchscreen towards the center of the screen only on both the sides (longer edges).

Currently Im not sure what the issue is fully, Im thinking maybe the digitizer cable got damaged, though Im not sure.

I also think that the front facing camera is not working. When I enable that from the lockscreen camera, I notice that the it gets stuck and flickering.

Weird touchscreen behaviour after home button replacement

Any thoughts.

Regards

Antony

Antony FM, sounds like either a pinched or tore ribbon cable, or a broken digitizer. Of course, you do want to double check your work, make sure the connectors are properly seated. It has been my experience that if the digitizer is unresponsive on certain areas, it has failed and you will have to replace the assembly. Hope this helps, good luck.
