What is function of the tiny board next to optical drive hole?

MacBook Pro 15" mid 2012 (A1286)

Few days ago, one edge on my MacBook Pro got seriously wet, right side, where the optical drive is. I have opened it, I've cleaned and dried it, and the only thing that might got damaged is one tiny board that is actually close to optical drive opening on top case. In iFixit's teardown of this model, this part stays as part of top case and there is no explanation of what it is. From my point of view, it can be an antenna, of noise cancelling mic...

So it is a small board, around 5 by 30 millimetres (as I remember), it is sticked to black plastic that is around inner side of opt. drive opening, it has an silver looking wire that goes out...

Does anyone knows what it is?

Whit that information, I can check if it works or not?

Thanks in advance!

It can not be seen there. I have found it in Upper Case replacement guide, step 36, but even there, you can see only its upper right corner and silver wire attached to it. So, once again, its in the black plastic part that covers inner side of optical drive opening.
