White screen but still can see a corner of apps/screen

So I had my Ipod in my pocket when getting in the car. Closed the door on the side were my Ipod was at. Got home then noticed the my screen was white but a corner of my screen was fine were you can see apps(still can use the apps)and the battery charge logo thing but the rest of the screen is white. Then it's not just a perfect white screen it has little different color lines going down the part that only has white. Please help I've seen videos at texts about white screens but only were the screen is completely white.

I'm afraid you will need a new screen sounds like you've damaged the LCD.

The screen is difficult to replace, but it can be done. You need to replace the whole glass/lcd assembly.

You may need to replace the new screen so you can order a replacement screen online and the follow some online tutorials on YouTube tu replace it by yourself.
