Why wont the loudspeaker work?

I got an iphone that was used. The phone works great but the loudspeaker wont work at all. no music not even when trying to choose ringtone. Nothing

Anybody know how to help, i have replaced speaker housing and dock connector so im out of ideas.

Do your volume buttons on the side work?

yeah volume buttons work the way they should, sound bar etc there work with headphones plugged in. Although when selecting volume it doesnt say (headphones) when theyre not plugged in

A lot of sound issues can be linked to the dock connector. It gets dirty or corroded and thinks its plugged into a external sound source and shuts the loudspeaker off essentially. But if you have replaced the dock then there must be something else going on.

Are the moisture indicators tripped inside? Usually the dock shows pink or red even if its not been wet...it will gather condensation and trip that one pretty easy. If any others are red I would try and good board cleaning with some alcohol and a soft brush and see if it makes any difference.

no sensors are tripped, im beginnig to think it may be a software issue? ive heard ios6 is kind of buggy in this area? although having never had the phone on any other firmware i cant be sure
