Why does my digitizer cable not reach?

I have done everything i can think of to get the digitizer cable to reach but it won't. I pull it all the way through lay them back put the motherboard over the top and then the cables will not bend/reach far enough to plug in. What am i doing wrong! Video would be much appreciated because i can't find one where they plug that in. Also i ripped the digitizer cable trying to pull it. Do i have to buy a whole new assembly or can i just buy a cable. PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm afraid you haven't pull the cable all the way through and if you ripped it you will need another replacement here's a link that will help you out

It has happened to me with two different phones. That little silver box is what causes the problem for me that goes under the motherboard flat right and the cables just fold over after that?

It can take a while to do but be careful. Yes the metal box should come through and you should make sure the digatizer comes all the way through you will no this as its thicker at the bottom of the flex cable. I made this mistake once and you will learn from it.
