Water damage. Cleaned logic board. Won't boot. Replace components?

Spilled coffee on MBP 13" Unibody Mid 2009 Model A1278. Disassembled & removed logic board following great instructions here. Thks :) Cleaned corrosion where I could see it. When I start it it makes the distinctive whirring sound, but screen remains black and keyboard doesn't light. Eventually fan kicks in.

The battery is charging, green lights light up when power cord removed.

Followed instructions here to try booting from OSX DVD. No dice. Tried booting from back-up hard drive. No dice.

Question is: Seems like much of the logic board is working. What else should I do? What individual components could I try replacing to make it work? I'm not averse to soldering nor replacing small parts.

The circles on the photo show the corrosion, all of which I was able to remove.

Solved.

Phoned around for someone to fix it at the component level. Found a great place called DT&T Services in Fremont CA: www.dttservice.com

They replaced I/O chips and the disc drive chip. At half the price I was quoted by Apple Authorised Service Center and the Apple store, this was a great deal. Repair comes with a 90 day guarantee as well.

Not worth it for $650. Unless there's somewhere cheaper place to buy one or... replacing a few components could resuscitate machine.
