How do you repair or replace ethernet port?

I have a first generation PS3 and there is no internet connection upon connecting an ethernet straight from my router. I have tried all troubleshooting of it being a router/internet issue. I believe the ethernet connector itself is loose or broken. I need a guide on how to replace the port. I tried local shops and they don't know how to fix it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Very first question I would ask you, is if you have soldered on a logic board before? I had a difficult time with the USB port re-soldering. I found that the solder used by the manufacturer seemed to be difficult to melt. You will need a good soldering iron/station and some good skills to get this done.

If I have a guide I can do anything. I have soldered audio equipment before amps and subwoofer wiring etc.

You need to dismantle it to the logic board, then use a desoldering braid to remove the soldered connections of the ethernet jack, then put a new one in.
