iPhone 5 Repair Help / Bad ESN / Cracked LCD Screen

Hello!

I have my iPhone 5, but unfortunately it does have a BAD ESN and a cracked screen. It is a 16gb / SPRINT. Now when replacing the cracked screen, do I have to get the $190+ part = LCD / DIGITIZER? Or can I replace just the glass only? Is it possible? Seems like the $190+ part is easier to replace according to the guides. Also is it possibly to clear the BAD ESN and make it clean? I saw some website that do that service for $99.00. Once I get that, can I unlock my iPhone?
