Any way to replace 30 pin with Lightning?

Just to make things easier. Kinda sick of having two kinds of cables. I know it sounds stupid and a simple solution would be to buy an iPhone 5, but that's not really in the cards for me right now.

Is there any way to pull the phone apart and take out the dock connector and put in an 8 pin connector?

Sorry, No

The logic behind the older dock connector is not the same as what the Lightning port uses, besides the mating area of your phone is a different size & shape.

Lightning uses a special interface chip. So it's impossible to replace

To do exactly what you require, you must follow the following steps:

  1. Find an iPhone 5 (doesn't even have to work).
  2. Line both phones up next to each other.
  3. Bring out a very precise cutting instrument (preferably a laser diamond cutter).
  4. Slice of the bottom halves exact same spot.
  5. Combine the iPhone 5 bottom to your phone (preferably using solder or Elmer's Glue).
  6. Congrats! Now you have a hybrid phone!
