will not shoot when the lens is in AF

will not shoot when lens is in AF mode and auto shoot.(tries to focus}. The shutter button does not work then.

it will work when lens is in MF mode.

Hi Tom,

The problem might be related to the secondary mirror of the camera or the lens. Check out this thread. I hope it works for you.
