Getting message Insert SIM

Hi

I am using iPhone 3GS for last 6 weeks and noticed suddenly it dies down and I get message Insert SIM. Once I remove SIM and insert again it works. Is it device problem or SIM ?

Try usinf a rubber pencil erasor to clean the contacts on the back of the SIM, if this doesn't work, you may have to remove the front panel, and clean the contacts on the inside of the device.

I wreckon its a device problem, I work for a cellular company and the sim does very little in regards to the operation of the phone.

Generally if it says insert sim the contacts in the phone is loosing... well contact with the sim... or its a software issue. Try upgrading your software if possible, if that doesnt sort the problem you could try a sim replacement on the off chance that i'm wrong but its unlikely.

All else fails take it apart as the other guy said!
