iPod loading dock not funtioning or charging on apple hifi boombox

Is it possible to replace or repair the iPod loading dock on my Apple Hi-Fi speaker system? If i can replace it where can i find the part? Please help. thank you in advance

Frank, yes it is. follow these instructions to open it. as for getting the parts, it will depend on what you find that is broken. I know that some companies like like Ridax offered replacement dock's at one time. It is not an easy task, but it is doable. Hope this helps, good luck.

I repair mine and the problem was in a couple of surface mount capacitors that were shorted in the Logic-amp board, and the power supply couldn't start.

Here is a picture of the problem hope this helps

hi guys,

I have problems with my iPod as well. There is no sound, no lights, no reaction when plugging the jack...nothing. ;(

I opened my iPod HiFi and couldn't find nothing broken.

Would you give me a hint how to find out which component is broken?
