How to load Windows onto NEW Gateway MD7818U Hard Drive?

After installing a new 500 GB Hard Drive in a Gateway MD7818U Laptop I tried to load Windows7 Ultimate 64-bit. Windows Install produced a window that states that there are no drivers available and Windows can not be loaded. I have never had this experience on any other system. Please advise.

I am about to attempt the same thing on my Gateway MD7818U Laptop. Did you figure out how to install Windows 7 on this laptop? (I think the drivers on the Gateway site are for Vista, but perhaps there is a compatibility mode tweak that could be used?)

Please make sure that the hard drive is recognised by your motherboard, u can check this from bios
