Narrow grey bar at bottom of display

A 2-3 mm wide grey bar has appeared at the bottom of the display and is partially obscuring the phone icons. I suspect that the glass has a small crack in it. I have a protective cover on the glass and have not moved it because the phone works fine otherwise.

What needs to be replaced? The complete display assembly or just the front glass?

Answer this question I have this problem too

tapioh, it will help if you post an image of this grey bar. It is possible that it is just the glass, but can most certainly be the LCD as well.
