MacBook Makeover Needed! Help Please!

Hi.

To put it briefly, my Mac Book has taken a beating due to a toddler in the house.

I have had water spilt down the air vent, and now even though my power adapter says it's giving my battery a full charge, if the magnetic power adapter gets separated from the mag port, the power shuts off. I always have to keep it plugged in.

Also my toddler has knocked my Mac Book on the floor so many times, the hinge that holds the display is twisted and it has now caused the screen to stop working. I can barely see a faint image and the whole screen is dark.

And lastly, I want to know how to replace the outside case, because it is chipping all around the outside.

Can you please let me know what parts and tools I need, and where I can get these new parts at a good price.

PS -I have tried following steps on youtube to reset the software battery status.

Are you very attached to this system? The cost of replacing the damaged parts here will be more than the system is worth.

To start with:

The battery and/or DC in board will need to be replaced. You could still have a logic board issue as well. Getting the display fixed will require a new display assembly (broken hinge) and the inverter may also need to be replaced. The case damage will require replacing the covers.

I would look for a new (used) system instead of putting any money into this system.
