Sensor not working after I'll replace it

Hello! I changed the power/sensor cable on my "Iphone 4G", cause the powerbutton was not working, I'll change it 2 times for now, with 2 different cables. The sensor was not working on one of them. I think i did something wrong, when replacing it, but I cant figure out what, so if someone got any clues will be great! btw, the powerbutton work. and its a GSM phone if it does matter.
