How do i use a voltmeter to find short or faulty components and does anyone have a voltage point diagram for the 4s.

akshay patel, you will need a few more tools if you are truly trying to trouble shoot the logic board. You will need a voltmeter as well as an ohmmeter and at least a capacitance meter, preferably an ESR meter. You also need to get the schematic for the board in order to trace it. You might be better off trouble shooting specific problems on your board. Board level repair is not an easy thing to learn on an iPhone, remember that you are dealing with a very complex, multilayer board. There is more than voltages to consider.
