Replaced Screen but now won't sleep/lock

I recently replaced my Ipad2 screen. Everything went smoothly except now my Ipad won't go to sleep/lock when I press the power button. If I press and hold the power button the Ipad powers off, and if I press the power button+home it takes a screen shot. So the hardware must be fine...right? What could be wrong? Another page says: After Screen Fix, Power button works, but can't sleep

This says to Unplug the power to it...what does this mean? How do I do that? Thanks! Any other ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hard reseting should solve the issue by pressing power+home for about 5 seconds and letting the iPad turn off on its own. As soon as it turns off, release both buttons and press the power button for 2 seconds to restart the unit.

If this didn't resolve the issue, please backup the device and restore to its factory defaults. Should resolve the issue.

Thanks!! I tried both of these and neither works...any other ideas? I double checked and the cables are not torn. Nothing that I can see is actually wrong with it, except it won't lock/sleep.

Also, I just let it stay on and it automatically when to sleep/locked after 2 minutes (factory default). Any ideas?

I had this problem for ages then realized that if 'iPad cover lock/unlock' in general settings is set 'on' then the powere button doesn't lock the iPad. Have you tried this?
