Upgraded HD, won't recognize new Toshiba 2TB HD

Replaced the original Toshiba 250MB HD with a Toshiba 2TB SATA 6 Gb/s HD, I used disk utility and copied with super duper, still won't find drive. stops at white screen with file folder and question mark. what do I need to do? thanks

Options

Jumper down your drive or replace it. You're trying to run a SATA III drive on a SATA II connector. When upgrading there's more to buying parts than a name. All RAM and HDs are not the same. You have to match them to the system.
