sometimes it start and sometimes don´t,

Hello I have the same problem with my imac. I´ve already took it to service and they told me that there´s nothing wrong with my computer. But just like these case I started to hear the buzz in the back of my computer but when i took it to service they told me again that there´s nothig wrong with it.

So I took it back home and works fine but it has been working with pauses, I mean, sometimes it start and sometimes don´t, for example yesterday it was working fine but today it wont start. What can I do??? Please help ASAP.

Power: I would first check with your electricity provider in your area if they have been having any problems. Often they can place a monitoring device on your power line to see if the service is having problems. The next thing here is to get a good UPS, one that can fill-in voltage drops and can make sure the 50/60Hz sine wave is clean.

Network: Disconnect your connection do you still find it pauses? If not you maybe encountering someone probing you or other device on the local network your connected to. You can look at Network Utility to see if your seeing lots of traffic locally. You might want to download a network sniffer application like Net Monitor to see more deeply whats going on. Also check your IP settings you should use a local DHCP & DNS service (yours or your ISP's depending on how you setup your network and Routers firewalls)

Applications/OS: Make sure you've updated everything and run a good antivirus program.
