Error restoring iPod, maybe jailbrake error?

Hi

I have been trying to restore my ipod touch , itunes gives me error 40 always the ipod goes to "connect to itunes" I have tried the redsnow jailbrake but it fails also, does my ipod got a nand memory failure?

has anyone got any idea?

Palli, check on this "These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart." from here and on here for a couple of things to try. Okey now its complaining about error 1600,

its seems that the ipod crashes in the middle of the firmware upgrade

im sure that the ipod is jailbreaked, i need another approach, i have tried redsnow but it crash also, this must be logic board error

tried now redsnow and select custom firmware, just the same still connect to itunes and after reboot "Missing keys.plist data fot this build"
