Mine is WiFi only, can I add SIM capability?

Nothing but WiFi on my 64GB iPad, can I add the phone or wireless interface to either AT&T or Verizon to my device or must it remain forever WiFi only?

The cases are different (Cellair version has a plastic top edge for the antenna).
