Hi
my first generation macbook air 13 won't recognize any internal hard drive. I tried to boot
from macos x disk to repair through disk utility but nothing is showing.
pleeeeeeeeeeeeease help

We still need some more info just to be sure here.
- What OS-X are you now running?
- What happened before hand?
- Are you able to boot with an external OS source (DVD or ext HD/SSD)? If so continue on
In the mean time try running Apple Hardware Test AHT to see if anything shows up there. Then see if Disk Utility is able to see your HD at all.
Let us know what you find. I suspect the HD has died and needs to be replaced.

in fact i suspect the hard drive has died so i bought two new hd and nothing happened. disk utility didn't detect booth of them. i m running mac os x snow leopard.
What are the drives? And did you check there spec sheets and compare it to your original HD spec sheet?
Do you have an external HD case to mount your old drive (firewire or USB) and a second Mac system to hook it up to? If you do try that to see if the drive is bad or if you have something else here.
i bought 2 new HD similar to the original one but when i start my mac there is no sign of life on the HD. i looked for an HD pata case but i didn't found.
Jalel - See if you can take pictures of the HD cases so we can ID them. FYI - the drive you want is a SATA not PATA interface (typo?)

Jalel - You should change this to your own question. This is a very old thread which is not the best place to work from as things change.
