joe, start by checking the tire for any bulging, uneven thread etc. Next check your CV drive axle for excessive play. It does sound like that is where the noise is coming from.

Tires, CV joints, tie rods, ball joints, the power steering rack, wheel bearings, suspension can all cause noise.
