Can I repair my motherboard (logic board) without replacing it?

When replacing the screen on my iPod touch, I broke the "outlet" (that the digitizer plugs into) off of the mother board? What is your suggestion for fixing it? Replace the entire mother board, replace the mother board and battery or can I fix the broken motherboard?

Jennifer and Rhonda Scahumleffel, just like YoloRepair ca explained, it needs to be soldered. The connector is available right here , but due tho the size of this and its location, it will require some special skills and at least a soldering station and a magnifying source. If you know someone that can do the soldering for you, it is a straight forward repair. Hope this helps, good luck.

You can replace the dock pins but if you've never done it I can guarantee you, you will damage the ipod beyond repair. The dock pins are soldered to the logic board. I've done the repair once. It wasn't too bad if you have the exp but needless to say it is a pita.
