How do I repair water damage?

I dropped my i pod in the toilet and now it won't work. Is it fixable?

To be straight up, if the water was not clear I would most likely call it a day on the iPod. The acids would make the electronic boards subject to future corrosion. If the water was clear then the parts can be replaced with out having to replace the whole interior. iFixit only carries the display so if you decide to gut it and replace the rest of the insides let us know and we will try and let you know where you might find the parts.

Very true, better the heck have only been H2O in there, Uric acid loves to completely fry logic boards and LCDs.

Actually I think the uric acid would be extremely dilute.
