Fan goes real fast makes noise.

I dissembled my imac cleaned fans put back together on start up fan goes real fast and makes noise I noticed I hadn't put the fan clips on where do they go could that be my problem

Recheck your hard drive heat sensor and placement. Did you replace the hard drive?

I took out the optical drive the sensor from that wasn't on anything could that be why

Try putting that sensor back in on the end of the hard drive.
