Why won't my iPod turn back on?

I just finished replacing the battery in my ipod touch 4G and it won't turn on. I've noticed that the board above the battery, below the front camera is slightly warm. No cables are ripped/broken. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong ? I also followed the ifixit guide on how to replace the battery to the word...

What was the original reason that you replaced the battery?

by

I replaced it because the battery life was very poor.

Will it not turn on if you plug it into the wall?

by

Nope. Wall or computer, it won't turn on.

The board is now cold. instead of warm.

Here's a tutorial with pics that everyone has been requesting. I've used this method over a dozen times successfully. Good Luck!!

There are 3 small battery terminals (shown below). You only want to touch the one to the far right (circled below). Avoid touching the other 2 terminals!!

Thanks you sooo much!

This worked! ! ! ! My ipod is working again !

Only downside is that there's a small white line going across the bottom of my screen(Most likely has nothing to do with the battery ) buy HEY I'm not complaining ! :-)

Thanks again !
