Can 30gb video hdd be put in to replace 80gb classic hdd?

I have a 80gb iPod classic with a dead hard drive. I also have a 30gb iPod video with no sound thru the headphones. Can i take the good 30gb hard drive and use it to replace the 80gb hard drive?

Yes, they use the exact same cable and are the same form factor.

You will definitely need to restore it using iTunes after the install.

They use ZIP connector so yes

and you MUST use the classics to play it safe
