also why does it not empty after washing clothes all the way. the drum is empty but you can hear the water inside the machine. and after a while it stinks. and we use tablets and that sometimes don't work. are they made to hold water?

As for retaining the water, the only place, since you already checked the tub, would be by the water pump. Remove the bottom panel and drain/change the filter. Hope this helps, good luck.
