Replacing Front Panel and Digitizer Not Working

Hi first time here Purchased the front plane replacement w/home button and digitizer Hooked it together without gluing it down When I go to slide the unlock nothing happens The plastic film is still on the inside I did lift the outside film but nothing Any ideas? I ckd the connectors and they are locked down

Also is it ok to fold the digitizer cable under the LCD display to take up the slack? Thanks for the help!!

Seems like the only answer would be that the digitizer cable came out during your reassembly. You may want to check on it again. You should be able to check and see the digitizer working before you put it all back together. Plug the digitizer cable back in and see if you can power on the device. Then see if you can unlock it with the front panel still removed.

This step should help you out.

Hey Tony, I did that after my post. It did start to work but only partially. In portrait all the letters left of R F and V do not work. In landscape they do. Unfortunately that only lasted for a short while. When I hung it up for the night the digitizer stopped working all together. I noticed the cable end on the frame to the internals I got from iFixit was a thin plastic film. Where as the apple connector was a bit more robust and solid. Dont know if that has anything to do with the problem...
