Volume & Speaker Don't Work

I have an iPhone 4S that got some moisture and now the charging port water sensor is red. The device itself charges fine, but I can't play music or use my volume buttons UNLESS I have headphones plugged in.

Switched it out with a new speaker assembly and didn't change anything, is it the volume button flex cable that needs replacing? It's strange, right now I can't adjust the volume on my music or play music unless I have headphones in.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi.

I had the same problem on a 4S. I change the charging port and that fixed the problem :)

You could try that :)

the charging port has contacts on that connect to your loudspeaker try clening them first with some wd40 it has wworked wonders for many things for me and iphones are my main repair it should hlp stop corrosion too the other thing to look at would be the contact that is under the metal plate with 2 screws for that section of the phone. hope this helps and costs nothing for you.
